NASA Battery Workshop: Data-Driven Validation for Flight-Critical Cells

Glimpse attended NASA’s Aerospace Battery Workshop on 01/20/26 (rescheduled from late 2025) to share how our products and services are supporting NASA’s battery qualification efforts and strengthening confidence in flight-critical hardware.

Our presentation explored how high-throughput CT scanning combined with automated feature extraction can move beyond traditional failure analysis to serve as a scalable tool for large flight-lot validation. By enabling affordable, fast, and high-resolution CT scanning of battery cells, teams can gain earlier insight into cell build quality and manufacturing variation.

In particular, our technology makes broad, cell-level inspection increasingly practical at scale - enabling more comprehensive evaluation rather than relying solely on small sample sets. This represents an important step toward more data-driven qualification workflows for aerospace battery programs.

We’re proud to continue supporting NASA and other aerospace teams as they advance mission-critical battery technologies, where reliability, traceability, and safety are essential.
