Patrick, Peter, and Eric spent a combined 30 years in the lithium-ion battery industry — at Tesla, Toyota, and battery startups. Every time they faced a cell quality challenge, they systematically reached for the same answer: X-ray CT scanning. And every time, they hit the same wall: scans were slow and expensive to produce, and the software to review them was antiquated and couldn't keep up.

So in 2023, they founded Glimpse to redesign the CT software stack and work with hardware partners to unlock high-throughput CT scanning for battery cells.

While working with battery companies, they realized that most hardware industries were facing the same challenge: CT scanning is an incredible capability, but it's expensive and the data review experience is broken. So they set out to expand Glimpse's vision to all CT applications.
