ENABLING BATTERY QUALITY AT SCALE
We’re on a mission to make battery failures a thing of the past.
BUILDING THE WORLD’S MOST POWERFUL BATTERY QUALITY MONITORING PLATFORM.
COLLABORATIVE PLATFORM
Battery quality should be everyone’s responsibility. Empower your entire organization to monitor it through one centralized platform.
REAL TIME INSIGHTS
You can’t afford to have defective products flow through your factories for days on end. Quickly identify latent defects and implement fixes thanks to our powerful root cause analysis tool.
SYSTEM OF RECORD
Battery reliability is a multi-year requirement. Store a digital fingerprint of your batteries’ quality on a platform that lives with your factories and fleets.
WHY CHOOSE X-RAY COMPUTED TOMOGRAPHY SCANNING FOR BATTERY QUALITY CONTROL?
A dent in the can, a cathode overhang, a tear in the tab, a buckled jellyroll...
Battery defects come in a variety of shapes and sizes and can reside in any part of the cell. In many instances, these types of defects are latent, which means that they are initially imperceptible to standard electrical characterization techniques.
By generating a high-resolution map of the cell's internal structure, X-ray computed tomography (CT) scanning makes it possible to produce a comprehensive assessment of a battery’s manufacturing quality.
A common misconception is that CT scanning is too slow and expensive to be compatible with gigawatt-hour scale battery production and assembly environments. That’s where Glimpse comes in.
